The practice of love

is the most powerful antidote

to the politics of domination.

Beloved Community,

What a wild time to be present in this worldly adventure we call life.

And in each moment folks are stepping up for one another.

Such is evident with our brothers in sisters in Minnesota, and beyond.

There is a group of monks that began a walk from Fort Worth, Texas, making their way to Washington D.C.

The monks walking for peace today continue an ancient tradition.

For centuries, monks have walked in times of unrest — not to accuse, but to calm.

Peace has always been practiced quietly, through presence and steady steps.

Sometimes peace does not need words.

It only needs to be walked.

At the Sonoma County Herb Exchange, we are participating in direct action in our individual ways, and collectively, by offering locally and organically grown medicinal herbs to our communities of healers and medicine makers.

That being said, the Sonoma County Herb Exchange is accepting pre-orders for the 2026 season at this time. This is a very good way to make sure you get the herbs you want for your medicine chest for the season.

If you would like to place a pre-order, please respond to this email, or send an email to herbexch@sonic.net with the following information:

Your list your herbs in alphabetical order, and if you know the botanical name,

please include that for the sake of clarity.

Parts available for each herb are listed on the Fresh Herbs Prices List, along with projected availability.

The 2026 Fresh Herbs Price List  can be found here:

www.sonomaherbs.org/herb-exchange

Include the part you are looking for: aerial parts (herb), root, berry, leaf, etcetera.

Include the amount you want to for each herb, and whether you prefer fresh or dried herbs. Please note we ask a minimum of ½ lb per fresh herb request. The Fresh Herb Price List offer projected availability along with what parts are offered for each herb.

Here’s an example:

2 LBS   BURDOCK ROOT (Arctium lappa) ROOT, DRIED
1 LB     CHRYSANTHEMUM (Chrysanthemum morifolium) FLOWER, FRESH
3 LBS   NETTLES (Urtica dioica) HERB, FRESH

Please note that dried herbs are offered as available. If you want dried herbs consider buying fresh and let us dry them for you. You pay the price for fresh herbs and we offer the service of drying them for you on our drying racks. There may be some limitations depending on available space on our drying racks..

We are asking all buyers to support the overseeing non-profit entity, the Sonoma County Herb Association.

If the SCHA goes away, so does the Sonoma County Herb Exchange. You can join here: www.sonomaherbs.org/membership

We appreciate your support!!!

the moon shining through trees at night

Peace crossed a nation on foot today.

To remind people of compassion when hatred had nearly erased it.

Peace has always been practiced quietly, through presence and steady steps.

Sometimes peace does not need words. It only needs to be walked.

What a blessing to be alive in this moment.

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace.
