Fostering respect for the Green world and our community through the responsible use and sustainable cultivation of herbs

Welcome to the SCHA website!

We are an eclectic group of herbalists: herb growers, medicine makers, educators, practitioners, gardeners and students. Our membership is concentrated in Sonoma County, but includes herbalists from throughout Northern California.

Our membership meetings feature a speaker/presentation on diverse herbal topics. Past presentations have included: Habitat Gardening, Herb Drying and Processing, Growing Lavender, The History and Lore of Absinthe, Seed Germination, Edible and Medicinal Seaweeds, Growing Soil, Rare Asian Plants—and many more.

Times, locations and details are subject to change; check the Calendar Section on this site for details, or call (707) 522-8500 . Our meetings and tours are free and open to the public, but donations are appreciated, and we encourage interested people to join the SCHA.
